Mr. Grischenko has been the Managing Partner of Grischenko & Partners since 1992. Upon completing his education at New York University School of Law in 1995, Mr. Grischenko worked as a legal intern at the law firms of Chadbourne & Parke and Debevoise & Plimpton in New York, New York. Prior to founding Grischenko & Partners, Mr. Grischenko worked as senior counsel and head of the legal department at Ukrimpex, a Ukrainian foreign trade organisation, where he dealt mainly with contracts on international sales of goods and commodities, such as raw materials, fertilisers, petro-chemicals and coal products. Mr. Grischenko has extensive experience in working with the Ukrainian foreign trade structures and in working with various Ukrainian political institutions.
Mr. Grischenko has been legal counsel for the State of Ukraine in three arbitration cases at the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID, Washington). In particular, in 2000-2003 he participated in the team of legal counsel of the Government of Ukraine which won the ICSID case Generation Ukraine Inc. v. Ukraine. In 2003-2007 he worked in the team of legal counsel of the Government of Ukraine which won the ICSID case Tokios Tokeles v. Ukraine.
Mr. Grischenko is co-author of Investment Guide on Ukraine prepared by the OECD for distribution among the international business community.

Mr. Grischenko was named “Lawyer of the Year, 2000” in the category of “Practicing Lawyer.” In 2003, Mr. Grischenko was honoured by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for his considerable contribution in Ukraine’s victory in the ICSID arbitration case initiated by the U.S. company Generation Ukraine Ltd.
In 2004, a Decree of President of Ukraine gave him an honorary title of the Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.
In 2008, D. Grischenko was awarded with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Certificate of Honor for his significant personal contribution to the support for the national policy implementation and for his highly professional skills in law.
In 2009, D. Grischenko obtained an honorary award of the High Council of Justice of Ukraine.
On August 31, 2010, the Prime Minister of Ukraine appreciated the professionalism and the business qualities of D. Grischenko and awarded him with Certificate of Appreciation for his significant personal contribution to the support for business development and market infrastructure formation, and for his diligent work.
Mr. Grischenko is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
